CLEAR YOUR SCHEDULE! The impossible fight that would never ever happen has been finalized. The greatest boxer of our generation and five-division world champion, Floyd Mayweather Jr., coming out of retirement to take on Conor McGregor, the first UFC fighter ever to simultaneously hold titles in two different divisions and one of the best MMA fighters in the world.
The fight is happening Saturday, August 26th on PPV. The fight will be at the boxing junior middleweight weight limit of 154 pounds, the fighters will use 10-ounce gloves and the card will happen at the T-Mobile Arena.
Mayweather Jr. holds a perfect record of 49-0 in his boxing career and McGregor is also perfect….at 0-0. This will be his first professional boxing match of his career, and of course is an incredible underdog. Whether you think this will actually be a fight or not, it’s going to be must see TV. If you have kids, find a sitter, or if the wife isn’t interested, let her know you are going out for the night.
I have been a giant fan of UFC since probably 2004 and I am also a huge fan of McGregor, but I am honestly not sure if this will be a good fight, and entertaining fight, or even a fight at all but there is no shot I will miss this and I don’t think you should either. But of course he was his normal cocky self in announcing the fight is happening by tweeting a picture of himself and Floyd Mayweather Sr.
