Red Nose Day is getting more and more popular each year and you’ve likely seen the boxes of red noses as you check out at Walgreens. You may see it and pass it up because you don’t want to make the $1 purchase and I understand; however, I made the purchase this year and I feel good about it.
If you’re like I was then you probably saw it as some marketing scheme and didn’t take the time to look into it. Well, if you’re reading this then you are at least half interested in knowing more so allow me to explain.
It’s a national and global effort to raise support for projects that ensure kids are safe, healthy, educated and empowered. In the last 25 years, Red Nose Day has raised over a billion dollars and they’re not stopping anytime soon. Just last year, 2,659,642 CHILDREN’S LIVE WERE IMPACTED thanks to Red Nose Day.
The money goes to provide meals for kids who cannot afford it, life-saving vaccines, clean water, access to education and many more causes. You can see the full list of their efforts at RedNoseDay.org
Seriously, $1 is all it takes and you can help make a child’s life better. Here’s my red nose day picture:
This year, May 25th is Red Nose Day so you still have time to get yours!
