Texas Country Artist, Sam Riggs, Asked To Leave Venue After Setting Guitar On Fire

Sam Riggs is a well known Texas Country artist and he’s known for his on-stage antics. He likes to push the limits. He likes to get a little crazy. He’s not afraid of fire, clearly.

He was taking part in the Texas Music Festival in Stephenville, Texas when he decided it was time to go against his best judgement and set his guitar on fire at the end of his set. The organizers had asked him not to use pyrotechnics and that included a pseudo-molotov cocktail of a guitar.

This video was shared on Twitter of the ordeal and many rumors began to circle shortly after the flaming guitar. Due to an influx of inconsistencies and some backlash, Sam Riggs issued a statement clearing things up on his Instagram:

It turns out that he was asked to leave by the Taylor family and he obliged. He took responsibility for his actions but certainly got the music world talking.

I guess it’s fair to say his show was pretty lit.
