I am relatively new to Houston, but one of the things I love about moving to a new city is getting to experience everything it has to offer! Whether it’s parks, museums, or in this case, a brewery, I want to embrace it all since I am HERE in Houston. It’s no secret, but if you don’t know me, I am a big fan of beer, cocktails, food and many other things. So I’ve come up with a little segment, The Haps of Houston with Corey Dillon, basically all of places I’ve gone here in Houston and what I think of them! And I am always looking for new recommendations, so please don’t hesitate to reach out to me via social media or anything with things I need to do!
Over the weekend I made my first brewery stop here in Houston, and definitely won’t be my last! Spindletap Brewery opened in northeast Houston in November of 2015, and obviously with their name, and beers, they build everything around Texas. I tried two of their beers and I am a big fan of both!
First, Houston Haze NEIPA: A 6.5% double-dry-hopped delicious NEIPA with orange and grapefruit flavors from the all of the Citra, pineappple, mango, and other tropical fruits, and it makes for a tremendous taste. They only sell this at their brewery (10622 Hirsch Rd, Houston Texas 77016).

Second, Hop Gusher IPA: 6.5% West Coast IPA with tropical notes of grapefruit, pineapple, mango and melon. Easy drinking, quite refreshing, quenches-your-throat – kind of IPA!

I will definitely be back to try the rest of their beers!
