Time for our “CAN I GET AN AMEN” story of the day! At “THE MORNING BULL” we believe in the power of positivity. We believe there are more good people than bad in the world, and we believe that goodness should be celebrated when you find it!
A week of animal stories continues this week on AMEN. And this time, it’s my hometown of Pearland. The story is…for the next few weeks, Pearland Police Department Unit 187 will be out of service. The police cruiser SUV isn’t broken…it hasn’t been wrecked…but it’s out of service all the same.
Now before you panic, there are plenty of police cruisers to keep Pearlanders safe. So this one car can take some time off while they wait for a mother dove – which has nested between the hood and windshield – to hatch her eggs.
The Pearland Police Department posted the story and the accompanying picture on their Facebook page. The men and women in blue say the babies will be hatched in the next week or so. And then they’ll allow a few more weeks for the babies to get strong enough to go off on their own.
The men and women in blue at the Pearland department said moving or disturbing the nest would be a violation of the city’s bird sanctuary ordinance, which makes it illegal to “ensnare or otherwise catch” wild birds within the city limits. Oh and after much debate – and a poll – they have named it “PEARL”
So where ever you are in the kitchen or in the car…can throw your hand in the air, “CAN I GET AN AMEN” for this … Always focused on the good news, and if you ever see a story that would make a great amen email it in at George@thebullhouston.com
