CAN I GET AN AMEN: Rescued Whale Puts On Beautiful Show For Tourists [Photos]

Time for our “CAN I GET AN AMEN” story of the day!  At “THE MORNING BULL” we believe in the power of positivity.  We believe there are more good people than bad in the world, and we believe that goodness should be celebrated when you find it!

Doris was in Trouble.  Officials say she was close to drowning.  Doris is 45 foot long, 20-ton humpback whale that was trapped in fishing nets off the coast of England.

But she was saved in a three-hour rescue by British Divers Marine Life Rescue and some local fisherman.  The group worked together on a fishing boat to help Doris.  The dangerous mission working on the massive animal in which they had to get next to her, actually haul the whale to the surface to expose her tail and cut the rope tangled around it.

It took three hours and when they were done and released Doris…she put on quite a show…breaching, coming completely out of the water 25 times, as she swam along the coast showing off.

Keith Leeves described the moment as ‘pure joy’.  He said: “We know it’s the same whale that got herself entangled in nets…because we could see rope burn marks on her (tail).  “So we know this is Doris.

He said: “She certainly put on a magnificent show for us. She showed her tail then would dive back down and disappear for a few minutes before coming back up and whoosh! She’d breach and do it all again. She did it 25 times which was amazing.”

So where ever you are in the kitchen or in the car…can throw your hand in the air, “CAN I GET AN AMEN” for this … Always focused on the good news, and if you ever see a story that would make a great amen email it in at George@thebullhouston.com
