Time for our “CAN I GET AN AMEN” story of the day! At “THE MORNING BULL” we believe in the power of positivity. We believe there are more good people than bad in the world, and we believe that goodness should be celebrated when you find it!
We love dogs! And in Texas, we think we have the best dogs. And now Kitty, a Golden Retriever, is proving that fact for us.
Milk-Bone has named Kitty as one of its “Dogs Who Changed the World.”
Kitty has been a service dog for years, and she is a graduate of Canine Assistants. The program takes high-functioning service dogs and trains them to “super-pups”.
And Kitty now is one the top ones in the world. But her owner, Dr. Jamye Coffman who both lives and works with Kitty says most of the time…the dog is laid out on her belly – letting children at the Cook Children’s Medical Center in fort Worth rub, hug or lay on her.
Dr. Coffman, who works in the Pediatric Emergency Center, says “She changes the world one person at a time,” You see, Kitty primarily comforts children who are brought to the hospital as suspected victims of child abuse and yesterday she was named one of the “DOGS THAT CHANGED THE WORLD”.
Milk Bone posted pictures of the beautiful girl and the comment “How can you be anxious when you’re petting her, right?”
As for the serious work Kitty does – Dr. Coffman went on to say “You know the one thing about a dog is they will never tell your secrets, And if a child sees a dog, [the hospital] is not a scary place. I mean if a dog can hang out and have fun so can they.”
So where ever you are in the kitchen or in the car…can throw your hand in the air, “CAN I GET AN AMEN” for this … Always focused on the good news, and if you ever see a story that would make a great amen email it in at George@thebullhouston.com
