Bill O’Brien Says Houston Texans Have Considered QB Colin Kaepernick

In an interview with NBC Sports, Bill O’Brien is asked, “Is Colin Kaepernick on your radar at all?” and Bill O’Brien replied, “We’ve watched him, Mike, we feel good about where we’re at right now with Tom and Brandon Weeden but we’ve watched him and discussed him and I think that’s a fluid situation as far as free agency goes, not just for Colin Kaepernick, but for the teams. As you know, your roster isn’t totally set until right before you open the season. He’s a good football player, he can run, he’s been coached well.”

While it doesn’t seem that he’s completely sold on bringing Kaepernick to the Texans he didn’t sound like he was opposed, either. Colin has had relatively decent career in the NFL but his recent run ins with criticism would certainly not bode well with many fans of the Houston Texans.

This seems like it could create a wave of backlash if Kaepernick were signed to the Texans but we won’t know for a few more months what will play out.

All I know is that we need a GOOD quarterback who can NOT throw interceptions like Brock did last year. It’s time we invest money in someone who will help our team win games!
