Thanks to Bull Afternoon Personality, Nick Russo, who got video of last night’s scary accident during the Chuckwagon races. One of the drivers, who was not identified by name, fell from his wagon and lay motionless for several minutes on the dirt.
Rodeo officials last night said the driver, who was taken off the arena floor on a stretcher as a precaution, said:
“He is stable and has been transported to a local hospital for further evaluation,”
And also of concern were the horses from the driverless chuckwagon that became tangled and two of the horse went down. Rodeo officials also had good news there, both horses walked out of the rodeo arena on their own and they were examined by a veterinarian. Officials said, one of the horses had a small abrasion and some muscle soreness while the other had no injuries.
So here’s to prayers for a quick recovery for the driver and horses!
Also, a BIG THANK YOU to the emergency personnel and rodeo officials who were exemplary in the response last night – well done!
