World class, Olympic champion Aly Raisman can be seen in this year’s Sports Illustrated Swimsuit edition. It’s not out of the ordinary for an Olympic star to post for Sports Illustrated wearing barely anything because they often celebrate incredible, athletic physiques but there has been considerable push-back from the public over Raisman’s poses and choice of swimwear.
There was certainly a level of provocative to many of her poses and nobody is disputing her physique or beauty.
The photos have been circulating on the internet for the past few weeks and while many have had raised eyebrows at the images others have been less than thrilled. Considering, the majority of Aly’s main fan base are young girls who aspire to be a world class gymnast or amazing athlete, many have mothers have complained that the photos crossed a line and are inappropriate.
Personally, I think Aly’s sex appeal would come through regardless of how much cloth were in the swimsuit. Her physical condition is spectacular and she’s a beautiful young lady. I don’t think the poses were too much; considering, it’s the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition and a lot of times their models are wearing bathing suits that have been painted on, literally.
It’s a tough line to walk when you’re nearly baring all of your birthday suit but I think many folks are overreacting. I understand, it’s difficult to shield your young ones from photos on the Internet and we try our hardest but Aly doesn’t deserve backlash over her choice to pose.
