Time for our “CAN I GET AN AMEN” story of the day! At “THE MORNING BULL” we believe in the power of positivity. We believe there are more good people than bad in the world, and we believe that goodness should be celebrated when you find it!
Most every day on Amen, we have some wonderful story about a sick or hurt person or animal and the kindness of others that truly does inspire us. But sometimes we need to pause and recognize there are other ways to inspire others – like Danny from Baytown pointed out to me with this email. Danny sent me a story about a corporation that got it right. Kraft Heinz, the maker of Heinz Ketchup & hundreds of other delicious products, usually buys several ads in the Super Bowl broadcast which costs them multi-millions. And usually, they’d spend more millions on the planning, ideas, and filming of those ads – but this year they aren’t advertising in the Super Bowl. No Heinz is using that money to give ALL their full-time, salaried employees the after Super Bowl off.
They have 42,000 employees – They are also encouraging people to sign a petition to turn Super Bowl Monday or “Smunday” as they are calling it – into a national holiday
If the petition reaches 100,000 signatures, the company says they will send it to Congress for consideration. (CLICK HERE FOR PETITION)
The idea has been gaining traction for some time since the Monday after the Super Bowl has long been notorious for absenteeism. And studies back up the fact that decreased productivity on the day amounts to the loss of a billion dollars on average.
So where ever you are in the kitchen or in the car…can throw your hand in the air, “CAN I GET AN AMEN” for this … Always focused on the good news, and if you ever see a story that would make a great amen email it in at George@thebullhouston.com
