Time for our “CAN I GET AN AMEN” story of the day! At “THE MORNING BULL” we believe in the power of positivity. We believe there are more good people than bad in the world, and we believe that goodness should be celebrated when you find it!
WE had chilly weather over the weekend and everyone was complaining about it…but it was nothing compared to other parts of the country, like the Tri-Cities area in Washington State. Temps in single digits and wind gusts of 20 plus miles per hour, that’s when John Lunceford, a bus driver for the Kennewick School district saw a student crying as he got on the bus – his bare hands and ears had turned red from the cold – So Bus Driver John gave the kid his own gloves…but it really bothered John, a retired Army vet – so he drove his bus to the local dollar store and bought all their gloves and knits hats and went back to the school and handed them out to any kid who needed them.
John said look, “I’m a grandfather, you know, No one wants a kid to suffer like that.” Administrators are now working with all the bus drivers to make sure they have extra hats and gloves on their buses. Bus Driver John said it was very gratifying to be able to help – even though he wound up with pink gloves because that was what was left when he gave them all away.
So where ever you are in the kitchen or in the car…can throw your hand in the air, “CAN I GET AN AMEN” for this … Always focused on the good news, and if you ever see a story that would make a great amen email it in at George@thebullhouston.com
