Time for our “CAN I GET AN AMEN” story of the day! At “THE MORNING BULL” we believe in the power of positivity. We believe there are more good people than bad in the world, and we believe that goodness should be celebrated when you find it!
At Ten Man Jam on Monday, We raised thousands and thousands of dollars for the LONE SURVIVOR FOUNDATION – and they help with the invisible wounds of war. Clay Luthy from Abilene, Texas had some of those wounds. Clay is served in the Air Force and when he got home – he said he didn’t really think he had PTSD but soon started showing some of the signs.
So after talking with some experts he got a puppy. Clay said “she was never supposed to be a service dog. I found out a couple years ago she was alerting me and I didn’t even know it,” – soon he and Charlotte, his dog, were inseparable. But that made finding a job tough – until last week when his wife said “ you and charlotte are at Lowes so much -= you should get a job there”…so he did – he and Charlotte both got hired last week.
He and Charlotte both got red vests, the hiring manager said they both were perfect saying “we went through the interview process and Clay and his own merit won the job. And we knew he was gonna make a great employee – we just got the benefit of getting Charlotte right along with him,” Jay Fellers, Lowe’s human resources manager at the Abilene Lowe’s – and the photo Clay’s wife posted about it has gone viral getting up to 1,000 comments on it.
So where ever you are in the kitchen or in the car…can throw your hand in the air, “CAN I GET AN AMEN” for this … Always focused on the good news, and if you ever see a story that would make a great amen email it in at George@thebullhouston.com
