Time for our “CAN I GET AN AMEN” story of the day! At “THE MORNING BULL” we believe in the power of positivity. We believe there are more good people than bad in the world, and we believe that goodness should be celebrated when you find it!
Ron Munsey is the definition of someone who whistles while they work. Ron is the nighttime custodian at Peter Woodbury School in Bedford, New Hampshire. Now custodian mean that’s Ron gets to clean up all the messes made by the kids every weekday, but he loves it. And he’s been showing that love for the job in a special way, and we’ll get to that in 20 seconds.
But, Ron used to work as a beverage distributor; he said that job required 60-70-sometimes 80 hours a week. So Ron made a change. He started working at the elementary school and now he’s become something of an internet hero because the kids at the school love him so much. You see every night when Ron is cleaning up – he makes sure he vacuums creative designs into the classroom carpets.
One of the teachers said, “He’s obviously putting his time and creativity into something you’d think was a simple job but he’s taking it to the next level… He just goes above and beyond each night.” Since the start of the school year, his carpet creations have consisted of a shooting star, two different castles, sports team logos, Charlie Brown characters, an elephant and more, and he’s actually really good.
So where ever you are in the kitchen or in the car…can throw your hand in the air, “CAN I GET AN AMEN” for this janitor … Always focused on the good news, and if you ever see a story that would make a great amen email it in at George@thebullhouston.com
