Dear Diary,

It was my second night without Jeff.

I have to give him more credit when he takes care of the dogs alone. There is a lot of watching, feeding, paying attention and making sure to let them out when they need…and then of course, mopping the floor that is covered in muddy paw prints.

Thanks, freezing rain.

I got everything ready for my road trip today. Jeff suggested I leave later than planned due to the weather.

He flew to Dallas, I am driving and we will ride home together. Hopefully, it will be an uneventful drive. Slow and steady wins the race.

We don’t have any specific plans. Jeff said it was super-cold last night and he decided to eat at the hotel. He said it was too cold to head back out.

That might put a damper on any exploring we might do. It might have to be all indoors.

I am okay with a Corey & Jeff weekend. We can hunker down and order room service. Shocker, my mind went to food.

You can’t beat eating in a bed where you don’t worry about getting ketchup on the sheets.

Talk  to you tomorrow,
