Perhaps the old saying is true, that ‘all publicity is good publicity.’ Because after a week of living under the spotlight for his song “Accidental Racist,” Brad Paisley’s album Wheelhouse (which contains the song) has topped the Billboard Country Albums chart this week.
According to Nielsen SoundScan, Wheelhouse sold 100,000 copies last week. That was also enough to put it in the Number Two spot on the all-genre Billboard 200 chart as well. Wheelhouse was hot on the heels of Paramore’s new self-titled album, which was topped the Billboard 200 this week with 106,000 copies sold.
“Accidental Racist,” though, isn’t the only song giving Wheelhouse it’s attention this week. Brad’s single “Beat This Summer” is continuing its climb up the charts as well. Brad also this week release a music video for the song.
