Corey’s Diary February 22nd, 2013: Ack, Alarm Don’t Fail Me Now
I am very happy the fabulous law enforcement officials were distracted this morning. I had to hustle like a mad woman, because my alarm did not go off this morning. Yikes, that is the last thing I need on a Rodeo Road Show day. And not only that, we are at Cook-off tonight. It’s a big weekend and there is lots to do. I think a nap will be in order.
But first, we are savoring the delicious smells at Cracker Barrel. We will be doing the entire morning show until 9am and we have George Strait tickets to give away. Luckily, they have the rocking chairs for the early risers out front. It never ceases to amaze me the dedication and how early people get here.
Tomorrow morning I will be at Cavender’s Boot City from 10-noon with Cook-off tickets. Love & Theft will be in the tent tomorrow night, those guys are awesome.
This is one of my favorite times of the year and usually Sunday would be a day of rest. But not for Jeff & I. We have to get ready for our house-guests coming for the next 2 weekends. First, it is Mellie and she is bring our kitty with her. So, we will be doing some shopping at the pet store Sunday. Little box days a here again. I am going to try and find the strongest and cleanest of the bunch.
I am also going to do some deep cleaning Sunday. Jeff is in charge of doing some puttying and caulking, it sounds dirty…but it’s not. It’s the honey-do list. Pops and the step-mom come the next weekend just in time for Rodeo.
But first, it’s time for meat & beer.
Talk to you tomorrow,
