I was still scrambling on what to do for Valentine’s Day after we left ‘Great Day Houston.’ The entire set of the show on KHOU was drenched in fabulous romantic ideas. I checked reservations, but didn’t really feel like going out. So, I headed over the Whole Foods and went on the hunt for some of Jeff”s favorite things.
I realized that the cheese department only makes their awesome baked brie with fig spread for special occasions. I was delighted to see that not only did they have the brie, but it was in the shape of a heart. I also picked up some great cheeses, special meats, grapes and a baguette. I decided to round it all out with some chocolate covered strawberries. They even had romantic cards. I picked the one with the Eiffel Tower on it.
Jeff proposed to me in front of the Louvre in Paris, France. That card couldn’t have been more appropriate. I also snagged some of his favorite snack mix to take to work and one of his favorite bottles of wine. I guess it wasn’t too hard to throw something together.
Today marks Rodeo Road Show number 5. We will be at the Dunn Bros. Coffee in Friendswood until 9AM. Tomorrow I am seeing my favorite hair gal to do some extensions maintenance and Sunday, we will be at Whiskey River with more Rodeo tickets and to celebrate their 3rd anniversary. There is no cover, plenty of crawfish and it all kicks off at 2PM. Sunday night, it is Rodeo Uncorked where Greg and I will judge the eats and treats.
It will be quite the culinary adventure over the next few days. We will have to re-visit the eating right plans on Monday.
Talk to you tomorrow,
