Winter time can sometimes be a bit “drab”, but there are ways you can brighten your living spaces and you don’t have to spend much money to do so!

Check out some of the ways you can put a bit of color in you bedroom during the winter months to make it warm and inviting!

Just Some Different Shade Recently, I took the brown lamp shade that was on my bedroom lamp and donated it to the local consignment shop. I found a great lime green one to help accentuate the lime green pillows that were already on my bed! What a difference that lime green shade made! It also only cost me $10! Adding color in your bedroom does not have to cost much. Just a touch of color in various corners of your room can really brighten things up!

Pillows Please Pillows are great ways to add nice spice to your bedroom. Check out your favorite home decoration store and find great throw pillows that are in colors such as orange, yellow and even camel. Bright throw pillows can be positioned on your bed or the floor for that perfect meditation pallet. You could also find a bare corner in your room and align them in that corner for a wonderful and bright effect.

Flowers Are Fun Dried flowers are great assets when adding color to a room. I found great bunches of eucalyptus on sale and the colors of turquoise, burgundy and brown really added a great mix to my digs! Eucalyptus also smells really great!

Light A Candle…Or Two I think that the money I spend on candles each month could really sponsor a child in a remote country. I absolutely love candles and the great thing about them is that they come in a variety of colors, sizes and scents! So always add candles to your bedroom and light them in the evening for a wonderful and calming effect.
