Dear Diary,

What a treat. We are out live at the Cracker Barrel in Kingwood off of 59. It’s nice to drive out here at 4:30 in the morning. There is not much traffic to worry about. There are a ton of people out here. It is so cool to see so many out so early in the morning and it is cold. Even my car told me to be careful after the temp hit 38-degrees. My Fiat is so thoughtful.

We will be here until 9am, giving away George Strait tickets every thirty minutes. Sounds like the perfect way to kick off the weekend to me…rodeo tickets and Cracker Barrel sausage gravy.

Jeff and I don’t have too many big plans for the weekend. Since he was gone for most of the week, we are just looking to spend some quality time together. With the cold weather it makes me wish our new house had a fireplace. However, I know we won’t miss it come August.

I did notice on my way out here that the Mardi Gras celebration is happening in February in Galveston. Maybe Jeff and I can celebrate our 5-year anniversary with a fabulous parade and a ton of beads.
