Sad face. The greatest love story of our generation – or at least for the month of January – has reportedly come to an end.

The New York Post is reporting that Taylor Swift and One Direction band member, Harry Styles, have broken up after two months of dating bliss.

According to the Post, Taylor and Harry headed to the British Virgin Islands New Years Day where the pair posed for pictures with fans and looked happy as clams. Unfortunately, just three days later the pair were rumored to be finished.

On January 4, Taylor boarded a boat and was photographed looking downtrodden as she headed to the airport for an early morning flight. Harry for his part took a trip over to Richard Branson’s private resort where he hung out in the hot tub and partied with female fans until the morning.

By Saturday January 5, he was back in the U.K.

On January 5, Taylor seemed to confirm the breakup rumor by tweeting: “…’til you put me down.”

Definitely Sounds like a hit song title to me.
