Let it be known that she did it again. Singer and “X Factor” judge Britney Spears is the top-ranking female artist of 2012 and it’s all due to stellar sales of her latest album, “Femme Fatale,” her position as judge on Fox’s “The X Factor”, those profitable endorsements and fragrance lines.

Things are smelling sweet for the singer who recently collaborated with will.i.am for the chart-topping hit “Scream and Shout”.

According to the Forbes list of “The Top-Earning Women in Music 2012“, Spears earned $58 million from May 2011 to May 2012.

So where do Spears’ earnings come from? Well according to reports, in May, the “Opps, I Did it Again” singer signed a $15 million deal to judge “The X Factor.” She also had one of the top selling fragrances of 2012; “Curious” was a fragrance on the necks and wrists of many with 10 million bottles sold. Spears is reportedly in talks to sign on for Season 3 of “X Factor”.
