Poor Jana Kramer spent her 29th birthday back on December 2 in the hospital dehydrated and possibly with a touch of the flu. She had to cut one of her shows short due to a fever of 101 degrees.

Her boyfriend, Brantley Gilbert decided to make Jana’s birthday a bit more memorable by renting out an entire ice skating rink for her, and sharing a romantic figure skating date.

At Monday night’s ACA Awards, Jana spoke about the romantic gesture.

“The day after my birthday was awesome,” Kramer told SheKnows. “My boyfriend rented out an ice rink and took me figure skating.”

The skating rink was definitely a great idea for Jana who spent most of her childhood on the ice as a figure skater.
