Not only does actor Johnny Depp have skills on the silver screen, but apparently he has musical ability that really…”rocks”!
Depp joined the iconic rock band Aerosmith this week for a concert at L.A.’s Staples Center. The actor, known for starring in such films as Edward Scissorhands, Alice in Wonderland and the “Pirates of the Caribbean” franchise, grabbed a six-string guitar and stuck chords for both Fleetwood Mac‘s “Stop Messin’ Around” and The Beatles‘ “Come Together.”
Depp’s performance with Aerosmith is not the first jam session the Golden Globe award-winning actor has had. According to reports, Depp played with Alice Cooper at L.A.’s Orpheum Theatre back in November and also played with The Black Keys at the MTV Movie Awards; coincidentally, Aerosmith presented Depp with the Generation Award.
Although there is no word on Depp taking a dedicated plunge into music, the actor has garnered acclaim and even sex symbol status in American cinema. Twice, Depp was named as the “Sexiest Man Alive” by People magazine and was even listed in the 2012 Guinness Book of World Records as the highest paid actor, with $75 million.
Would you support Johnny Depp if he ever recorded music and began to play professionally? Check out video of his performance with Aerosmith this week below!
