Dear Foley & Thunder,

I need the brutal truth. I’ve been dating a guy for about a year and a half now.
Before we met, he was in a relationship for five years. During that
time, she became pregnant with someone else’s kid during a
short-term breakup. My boyfriend (who was her boyfriend at
the time) decided to stay with her. About 2 years
after the baby was born, they broke up. We started dating a
short time after. My question is… Am I wrong for not wanting
him to see the baby anymore? He was only around for the first
2 years or so after she was born, and he’s not the father. The
baby doesn’t really know or remember him, yet his ex wants him
to continue seeing the child and still sends him pictures. He
doesn’t see anything wrong with this at all and would like to
see the child. He’s not friends with the ex and doesn’t even
talk to her. Do you think this behavior is acceptable and I’m
wrong for considering not allowing him visitation? I don’t want
to be unfair and make him despise me.
