Dear Diary,

I am so glad Jeff gets back in town tonight. I just don’t sleep as well when he is not home and the dogs do not like it as well. Luckily, I had them last night. It was chilly and a great night to have some furry friends by your side. The saddest part is that I actually had a night light on last night. It’s just a little lamp that gives off a soft glow. But sometimes when I am going sleep by myself, all I can think about are scary movies and the horrible things that can happen. I know, I am a freak.

I am already getting excited about the weekend. We are headed to the Renaissance Festival this Saturday to judge the KILT contest…get it? KILT is judging the KILT contest? We go together like peas and carrots. I love the festival, it is great people-watching and the food is to die for.

I also have to decide if I want to haul out the Christmas decorations this weekend. We will be in town for the holiday and doing a low-key celebration. Do I want to put up a tree? Do we want to get a real tree? I got some great ideas at the Nutcracker Market…but I am not sure if I want to drag everything out…knowing I will just be putting it away in a few weeks.

I will ask Jeff what he wants to do, although I think I know the answer.
