Randy Travis is back in the news, but this time for a positive reason!
The country legend is set to take the stage with acclaimed alt-country/rock/folk group the Avett Brothers in the latest installment of CMT Crossroads.
The special, CMT Crossroads: The Avett Brothers and Randy Travis, is set to air the day after Thanksgiving on Friday, November 23 at 10pm. No details are available on the show’s actual taping, except that it will be taped in the Nashville area.
The Crossroads episode will feature the Avett Brothers and Travis taking on each of their biggest hits, including some of Randy’s 16 Number One songs along with tracks from the Avett’s brand-new album, The Carpenter.
Watch “Live and Die” from The Carpenter:
Travis has been making headlines for all the wrong reasons this year, with several arrests stemming from alcohol-related incidents. Let’s hope this Crossroads taping helps set the country star heading down a much healthier path.
