Bandera, Texas native Charlie Robison will become the 44th artist to record a Live at Billy Bob’s Texas CD and DVD at Billy Bob’s Texas, The World’s Largest Honky Tonk on Friday, August 31, 2012. An early birthday gift for the singer songwriter who turns 48 on September 1st, Robison’s vast collection of hit songs will be a great addition to the Live at Billy Bob’s Texas series. The Live at Billy Bob’s Texas album will be the eighth album for Robison that is sure to feature fan favorites like “My Hometown,” “El Cerrito Place” and “Down Again.” Robison is also know for playing some classic rock covers like Elton John’s “Rocket Man” and the Willie Nelson classic “Whiskey River.”
Steve Rixx had the chance to talk to Charlie about the album, and why it’s taken 10 years to record it. Plus, he’ll tell us how his classic song, “El Cerrito Place”, ended up on Kenny Chesney’s new album.
