Clay Walker established Band Against MS (BAMS) back in February 2003 to help others living with the disease. Clay has been living with the disease since 1996 and with his MS under control with a daily injection and a healthy lifestyle, he finds time for his many hobbies – golf, cooking, fishing, horseback riding, cutting horse competitions, running on the beach, and playing a variety of sports. Of course we can’t forget about the touring, recording, and songwriting.

Via BAMS, Clay explains, “I just feel so grateful I can do things like play the guitar, dance, and sign autographs. I think I appreciate every show more than I used to because I know it could all be taken from me. I don’t want to waste even one day,” Clay explained.

The BAMS bike team was created by Clay as an extension of BAMS to participate in rides across the country to raise money and awareness for multiple sclerosis.

To date, the BAMS bike team has raised more than $300,000 for multiple sclerosis research through BAMS and the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
