From Erin Austin
Is there ever a song you hear on the radio and the lyrics make no sense? You’re singing along and think, “What does that even mean?” Luke Bryan‘s ”Drunk On You” has some folks scratching their head over what some of the lyrics mean.
I got an email from a listener asking if I knew what a certain line meant in ”Drunk On You.” The line in question is:
You’re lookin’ so good in what’s left of those blue jeans
Drip of honey on the money maker gotta bee
The best buzz I’m ever gonna find..
I’m a little drunk on you, and high on summertime
Rodney Clawson, one of the songwriters of the mega-hit revealed exactly what those lyrics mean in an interview with TasteOfCountry.com. He said people will come up to him and say ‘What does that mean?’ His answer? “Exactly what you think it does.”
So I guess if you’re like KILT listener Kelley, who thought it meant “the nasty,” then I guess you’d be right.
What do you think it means??
