Somewhat shocking news coming out of Hollywood that Tom Cruise and wife Katie Holmes are getting divorced.  The couple has been married for 5 years and have one child together, daughter Suri, 6.

The couple married in an Italian castle in November 2006.  The lavish wedding was attended by a who’s who of Hollywood.

Katie’s lawyer, Jonathan Wolfe said in a statement: “This is a personal and private matter for Katie and her family. Katie’s primary concern remains, as it always has been, her daughter’s best interest.”

From the sounds of it, it appears Katie is the one that wanted out.

This was Katie’s first marriage and Tom’s third.
