Dear Diary,

I am so excited for cook-off. It is one of my favorite events. Plus, this year my family will be here so it will be great to show them around and give them a feel for how big the whole thing is. I wanted to do a little face work before this weekend, but it kind of blew up…in my face, if you will.

I scheduled a micro-dermabrasion. I didn’t want to do a chemical peel because it takes too long for the skin to come off. This procedure is great. I used to do it years ago and it got rid of sun damage on my hands. I had it done on Monday and was sure not to do anything that would irritate my skin. The gal who did it gave me a list of instructions. She said not to rub it with a towel too hard…not to wash it too much…not to put anything acidic on there, like a Vitamin C serum.

The only thing I can think of is that I put an SPF 50 on face to go on a walk with my sister and maybe that was the catalyst. Hopefully, it will go away before tomorrow when my dad and my stepmother. I am going to stop by my gal’s shop and have her take a look at it.

Otherwise, it is last-minute prep time. We are washing the dog beds, de-cluttering and making sure everything looks nice.  I am kind of a cleaning freak when it comes to guests.
