Corey’s Diary February 15th, 2012: Everything Worked Out Nicely
I had a very nice surprise when I got to work yesterday. Greg and Dave brought me a dozen long-stemmed red roses for Valentine’s Day. I thought that was so nice and thoughtful. They smelled amazing and it was such a treat. I stopped by a little shop on the way home and grabbed a cupcake for my sister for Valentine’s.
She came over and we went for a long walk, not only to get some exercise but to promote her business. ‘Pilates in the Heights’ is up and running, and we want to get the word out. You can’t legally put fliers or cards in the mailbox, so we kept it to putting them on cars or hanging them on the fence. You certainly don’t want to irritate someone when you are hoping they will try out your business.
Afterwards, Shannon headed home to make a romantic dinner for her man, Danny. Jeff and I went to a little gourmet shop to grab some cheeses, grapes, some french bread and some meats. It was all so delicious. The prosciutto and salami was homemade in the shop. My mouth is watering as I think about it.
We capped off the evening with the latest “Twilight” movie, “Breaking Dawn.” I thought it was good, not as great as the book…but still kept me hooked. The chocolate-dipped strawberries helped.
Talk to you tomorrow,
